I'm sick and tired of my Sky Broadband. The wireless router is absolutely useless, has next to no range and is frequently kicking my PC off and needing resetting. And to top it off I'm paying (albiet not a lot) for 10meg BB and getting 3.5.

I need something reliable and quick. I'm usually uploading around 300Mb a weekend and downloading a fair bit too so the faster it is the better.

Good wireless is vital. The router won't be too far from where the PC is set up (<30ft) but it's through 4 walls which I think is what's causing my connection problems at the moment as I've usually only got 2-3bars signal at best.

I'm thinking o2 or BT as they seem to be getting good reviews at the moment but I really haven't got a clue. And afaik Virgin is a no no as I can't get one of their phone lines.

Cheers for any help guys :)

If all you get is 3.5Mbps, you'll get more or less the same from any ADSL ISP. That said, it sounds like the problem's crappy wireless reception rather than Sky.

Can't change the router for a better one though because of Sky's t&c's :(

Sure you can, but that's not the point. You could use a cable, or HomePlug and if the wireless is to blame either would fix it.
