***STREETFIGHTER IV LEAGUE (PS3)***

Yeah, just friendlies. Like I say, I haven't played in months, so if I can get away with it I won't be playing any of my league games for a few days at least, just to get back into the swing of it...

Think I won 3 out of 5, all very close though.

I had some absolutely shocking moments but was suprised at having some fairly decent moments too!

I haven't played your 'defensive' ryu in agesss, I've improved quite abit since then I think ;) but my cousin GTI-Jambo has improved more then me, we have so many close games but I think he could win this league.

I'm picking Cav or Jambo to win it, but I think AkiraX the newcomer might just suprise us.
 
I haven't played most of you guys in ages but i'm gonna put my e-money on Tony888t.

Need to practice more, i remember the days when i'd give that guy a run for his money, now he just destroys me.

Seriously? I would have thought you and him are pretty even. He use to beat me but now I've definately got the edge over him although he learns fast. We had a 30 game session the other night, was great. I've played his Ryu quite a lot recently and also Jambos and I reckon Jambo would have him at the moment.

a lot of ppl are gonna struggle vs Cav's Guile for sure!
 
You really wouldn't believe how rubbish i am now. I popped on earlier this week to see if i still had 'it' in challenge mode. I couldn't even do some of the most basic combos, let alone FADC, but then this is what this tourney is for, get back on it.
 
Up for some games streeteh? league games practice games? :P i decided to get all the hard opponents out of the way first and you and your abel i remember gave me a lot of trouble in the last tourny :p
 
Hey everyone! I apologize for not being on today, was really busy with homework <_< But tommorow i should be available most of the day. Im looking forward to playing with you guys and if anyones just want a practice/casual match ill be happy to do so :D

also my ryu is pretty average lol so i dont think theres much to worry about :P but i will do my best and will be playing on a d pad. i do have a stick (madcatz SE) but the joystick is kind of funky and im waiting for my parts i ordered to modify it. anyway thanks for added me and looking forward to the tournament!
 
Ok guys just to clarify, now is the time to be getting your actual league games out of the way! I expect most of us can play at least 3-4 opponents a week so thats 6-8 games a week allowing you to completely finish in 3-4 weeks!

By all means have a friendly or two if you want but get the league games started and post the scores. Thanks :)

Just had a 3 way sf session in which time we got our league games out the way :)

Unlucky Jambo, you should have won our second game, in a friendly you would have but in a pressure match it didn't happen. ;)

True say mate that second game was a very close game done some stupid mistakes jumping over you aiming for a crossup but ended up taking a throw like 4 times, GG the best man won at the end of the day. :D
 
Really sorry guys but i'm gonna have to pull out of this. I'm barely going to be able to play in the evenings (which is when most will be online) so i just feel like there's not a good chance i'll be able to play everyone. The main reason however is that after trying to get back into the game frankly i can't, i just don't enjoy it that much any more.

Sorry again and cheers for sorting out the league. If i'm online and you want some practice do feel free to message me but i doubt i'll be able to stomach more than a handful of matches before i get bored.

I take it you've been losing a lot recently?

Wish I could take your place but my net still isn't sorted, else I'd have bought a PS3 (the local scene all stupidly play on PS3 even though the Global Gaming centre here has 360's).

Not really, just played Tony888t and it was relatively even, he's the first person from here that i've played in a long time. When playing randomers today i won most of them, but then in an hour i only got to play about 5 randomers due to the abysmal game finding on the PS3 version. I think part of the problem is out of all of the people i've played Tony is the only one that tried a character other than Ryu.


I'm just bored with the game, it's got nothing to do with losing. If you're implying that i don't like losing there's plenty of people here who will recall kicking my arse for hours on end without a complaint when i was into the game.
