Hey all, just thought, as per title I'd get a few thoughts on the above, I ordered one this evening, the XCM Cross Battle Adapter basically allows you to use a wired xbox 360 pad legally on a Playstation 3 (No hardware modifications are done to the PS3, so I don't think it would be classed at all as hacking etc.. If a mod disagrees, please lock/delete this and accept my apologies!

The main reason I got this ordered was that it offers 1:1 control, no delay, lag or anything else that you might think would happen from something of this ilkage...

...apparently.

Just curious if anyone else has ordered one or used one at all? Looking forward to getting it and trying it out, I got this mostly to enable me to enjoy my PS3 more, the PS3 SixAxis/DS3 pads just feel a tad awful to use nowadays (to me) specially for driving games, I've not enjoyed GT5 prologue properly because of being used to the 360 pad, so hopefully this will all change, especially with GT5 just around the corner (In Polyphony Worlds, anyways!)

Very laggy, a lot of people have tried to use them to get 360 sticks working on PS3's but they just don't work well.

You trater:mad:

Conscept, wired 360 pads only, yeah.

Have they Kreeeee? Any report of lag with traditional pads?

Afraid my only experience is with arcade sticks, but they are no different to normal pads (heck... my stick has a chopped up normal pad in it!). SFIV is a game that requires 1/60th of a second accuracy in button responsiveness though so games that don't require much precision like CoD4 should be fine.

Not a traitor, silly :p but GT5 will be amazing too and I plan to get my moneys worth 25x on Forza 3 :)

Hopefully so, GT5 requires obviously a lot of fluidity and responsiveness, maybe not as much as SF IV though!

Only other option would be getting a PS360 pad made, and I don't know anyone who could/would make one even from the instructions on engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/01/how-to-make-a-ps360-controller/)

Kreeeee, whatcha be thinking? ;)

I'd kill for a PS360!

There's a guy on here who made an awesome one but he disappeared :(.

I'd say it's worth a punt if you don't play reaction based games (GT5 will be fine).

GT and MGS4 were the only reasons I bought a PS3, I prefer the 360 immensely for the variety, but the PS3 has some amazing titles too, just not as many, a few good exclusives and I get the shared titles on the Xbox.

C'mon Kreeeee, build mea PS360 ;)

Instructions up there, I'll be back tomorrow to bug ya! :D

Any further stories on these? There is a new one out now, the XCM Cross Battle Adapter 2.0. I thought of getting one from Hong Kong as the DualShock 3 is giving my blisters blisters. :D Thought I would check on here first for any opinions on version 2.

I actually asked about these on the XCM forums today, waiting to hear back before placing an order, if it has the triggers working on full analogue now instead of on/off digital stylee, then I'm definitely going to get one for GT5!

It does work Andy I've had the Black (basic) one for a while, works fine just no rumble on that one (There is on the newer ones) and the triggers, as said above work only on/off, fine for shooters, hell for racing games!

I made the mistake of not looking round, saw a bundle of the XCM and a wired pad (new) for £45 i think and just went for it, worked well, but I'm gonna sell my current one (had it up in the MM but no one bought it, prob due to not knowing WHAT the subject title meant!) and buy a 2.0 if it fits my needs.

I've sent you an email mate regarding it :)
