Hi guys,

At long last I am going to upgrade my PC, been looking into Shuttles as I will be moving it around a fair bit.

I will be using a 32" 1080p monitor, already have mouse, keyboard and OS.

I am looking to spend under £400 ideally.

Main uses will be watching films (blu-ray would be a bonus) and some gaming.

Possible?

So an HTPC? Wouldn't you want a handle for carrying it around? There are a few, like the Lanbox and the CM Scout. This is just a rough build though:

As a bare minimum. Do you want mITX, mATX or ATX?

Did this spec for someone before, to bring it under 400 youd have to forego the blu ray, so swap that out for this, still marginally over but decent spec, could get smaller HDD

Something along the lines of this maybe

You said gaming so I just put a 4770 in there, it may not be the best choice for you but it fits within your budget. I also gave you reasonable size HDD for films, if it turns out you don't play very demanding games you can save on the graphics card and get a bigger drive for your films. With your free postage that comes to £400.94 so just over budget :)

Edit: Damn forgot the optical drive :p for a slim blu-ray one you'll have to add about £150 onto that

You won't need or be able to fit the LGA775 cooler on an Atom CPU ;) You'll also need RAM

Regarding the size, I don't mind if its mITX, mATX or ATX, aslong as I can just unplug it and go.

I'm guessing going upto ATX will give me a lot more for my money?
