Well I've just got myself an E66 to replace my HTC Touch Diamond as I eventually got sick of the lack of real keys and general bugginess, unintuitiveness and instability of Windows Mobile.

Looked at the E71 and had a play with one as well as an E66 and decided that I could type a lot quicker on the E66 than with the E71's qwerty keyboard (I text a lot)

I'm amazed at the build quality, it's quite a way ahead of the N Series phones being made largely out of stainless steel and it feels very solid, the slider mechanism in particular. I've had an S60v3 phone in the past (N73) and loved it. Should have kept it over the Orange SPV I replaced it with, really! Ho hum. The OS is a LOT more stable and a LOT more responsive than Windows Mobile. So far the only downside against the Touch Diamond is the screen resolution, but that doesn't bother me along side the improvements. Come on Microsoft, WinMo needs some SERIOUS usability improvements :( Stop relying on manufacturers to have to bodge together a decent front end!

Anyone else using an E Series then, who isn't a 'business user'? :D

I agree. I much prefer the build quality, software stability, battery life and aesthetics of Nokia's E series phones compared to the N series.

It's a shame that it comes at the cost of a decent camera but I guess you can't have everything.

I've got an iPhone but still prefer my E71 for a lot of tasks.

Indeed, my e51 was a very good phone and nothing else could touch it for battery life, eventually lost it's place in my life to a blackberry curve though...

Recently upgraded to the E52, super slim with a nice big screen and one of the best key pads ever. One of the best candy bar phones on the market.

I take it the battery life is still superb as it was on the e51? I may yet grab a e52 sim free as my blackberry curve, while excellent, isn't 3G and is hence useless if I need to use it with my laptop for internet access...

Yep, its a personal phone (I have another for work purposes), so with 5 minutes of calls a day and a few texts (no wifi/3g) I get 12-14 days from its 1500mah battery).

Over on gsmarena, people are claiming 6 hours constant web browsing, so it should be great as a 3g modem.
