obviously the people that can't read it are lazy

Because everyone knows what you mean so...
IT DOESN'T MATTER

Why are people so hung up on something so insignificant and boring, it basically means the same thing, so who cares.
exactly. lets just hope the starving children in africa who have aids from being raped don't hear someone say bought when they mean brought otherwise they may end up killing themselfs.

I can read it, however it takes me much longer to do so than correctly spelt text. So yes, spelling is important.

i can read that just as easy as reading any other text

Were you taught to read phonetically? My wife and I read in completely different ways, I read sentences and she reads words and she was taught to read phonetically. It makes me a much faster reader than her, but she makes a much better proof reader.

Just an error by the writer/speaker, similar to how people erroneously use the different spellings of there/their, whether/weather or the wrong use or misplacement of an apostrophe.

English is a difficult language, people are bound to make mistakes here and their (sic).

To be fair to Ocuk forums the grammar on here is pretty good. Try reading through some car forums, the language used is pretty poor and unreadable a lot of the time. I've seen myself going to reply to something and thinking why bother even talking to such knuckle draggers :)

I dont claim to have perfect grammar and spelling but I do my best as I'm a bit dyslectic at times or type too fast and make mistakes.

edit-spelling lol

That's just language evolution in action, wouldn't be surprised to see that be added to the dictionary in the near future.

I do find it slightly unfortunate though, while I'm aware that language evolution is what keeps a language vibrant (and why English remains the lingua franca) which is a point I've argued before there are some changes that just can't help grating on me.

English isn't the easiest of languages in terms of grammar and homophonic words many of the mistakes made are relatively simple.
