Been looking at one these to add in another room. Ive already got a Popcorn Hour but this looks a damn site cheaper and does the same thing.

Reviews same favorable so Im just wondering has anyone here got their fists on one?

There's a thread over on avs. Customer support is supposed to be appalling. People who are actually getting theirs are having to pay additional postage because they haven't put enough on.

But if you can actually get one they're supposed to be ok. I'd rather wait and see what the new WD TV is going to be like as it's supposed to have network support.

Ive just ordered one of these. They look ok. Hopefully get it tomorrow and will update you with my thoughts. Anyone already got one?

ps - i got the one with the heatsink option :D

I have one, fairly basic interface but plays pretty much everything. I can't even get my PC to fast forward through 1080p MKVs as nicely as this does.

If you're getting the wireless you'll need a 'n' router - this one struggles to stream 720p across the house on my 'g' one (let alone 1080p) but it plays fine from the HD.

Fan isn't loud at all, you can turn it off if you don't have an internal drive anyway.

Cool. Lots of negative stuff about it* but it seems it will play everything which is the main point for me. Looking forward to playing with it now :D

* Mainly from avforums and about the NAS box for it.

got on too (aswell as a popcorn hour a110)

i think the xtreamer is pretty good, plays everything that i have and does the job perfectly.

although i would also look at the WDTV Live, purely cos of warranty and easy to send back if needs to be repaired!
