Hi Guys

My birthday is in a few weeks and to get my sorry ass out of the house more (other than work and family time)and get myself a hobbie for some me time :) I would like to take up photography.....

I purchased "Understand Exposure" and have been reading over it to start planting the seeds and knowledge..

With a large man made lake at the back of my house with a fair amount a wild life and other things to shoot it seems like the perfect option..

Just need to know what a good starting unit would be for me, to play with and see if I enjoy it as much as I think I will?

Thanks in advance

Wow £200 for that kit is awesome. I paid £200 for my crappy digital point and shoot a few years ago lol. I'd snap that up, would be a perfect starter kit and for that price i doubt you'll do better.

Ah don't :(

Won't have the funds until towards the end of the month so this will have to slip I feel

I had to check the other thread again then to check if it was you that was selling it :p

I picked up a new but ex-demo (still with 12 month warranty though) Sony A200 c/w kit lens for £169 on clearance from the major high street photo retailer about 10 days ago so it's maybe worth popping in to your local branch to see if they have something similar.

by the time that I've flogged the kit lens it will be a nice backup body for ~£120 :)

:D Just surprised at the kit you can buy for such a small amount these days. As i said i bought a Canon A80 point and shoot for £200 not so long back and the results from that wouldn't be a patch on a DSLR.
