The Postman allways rings twice (No he doesnt, he hardly turns up) - Lazy bum

our postman is immense, he brings out the paper for us

he also signs for things, and lets himself in to put them on the kitchen table

I think it's fair criticism when a paid for service is so inconsistant and shoddy.

Well, in my experience anyway (Liverpool & Kent), and from others clearly when you see the number of annoyed responses anytime a thread like this is created.

its a business trying to keep profits during difficult times. theyre just doing the best that they need to do to keep the customers (rubbish)

Post has been coming earlier when I was back in Aberdeen in June.
Used to be between 9:30 - 11:30 but while I was back there in June, post was arriving at around 8:30 :)

Ah I remember the good old days when you could come downstairs in the morning and open your mail whilst eating breakfast.

A little bit offtopic but I had my 360 sent to me via parcelforce and the guy very kindly hid the item in the red recryling box next to my door and wrote where it was on the card.

Was dreading having to go to the depot to pick it up but he saved me a load of hassle by doing that. Thumbs up for parcelforce on this occasion.

We've had a bit of a problem with post in my area recently, up to when the old postman retired there were never any problems at all but since the old postman retired there have been a few different postmen, all young lads and sometimes we have experienced where hand-written letters have never shown up to our door. The most recent one when my mum sent a congratulations card to my GF because of her sucessful first year doing A levels and the card never showed up, and she sent it first class over 2 weeks ago. This is not the only time either, a couple of our neighbours have also mentioned that some things they have hand-written on the envolope and sent off etc the other receiver never receives the letters. This is the reason why recently, anything that say if I have ordered off the net that gets delivered through my door I have instead had it delivered to my work's address.

It seems pretty obvious to what's going on but luckily we or our neighbours have never sent any letters with anything in value so its nothing really important but its the fact that the letters have never been recieved / got to their original destination. I'm thinking of going to our local post office and putting in a complaint.

I remember when we used to have 2 post deliveries. One at around 7am and the second around midday. My depot isn't far so it's not an issue for a missed delivery - but the opening times of the depot are and issue!

Well the Royal Mail have managed to lose the last two parcels I should have had. One was ordered from Ebay. Got the 'you were out when we tried to deliver' message. Went to the post office and they can't find it. Went back a few days later. Still can't find it. They say it might have been sent it back to Heathrow and that I have to phone customers services if they can't find it by Thursday. Great.

The second one was delivered to work and signed for. Apparently. But the signature (contacted the company that sent the item) doesn't match anyone in this building or department. So where have they delivered it to and who has signed for it? Certainly wasn't me or anyone in the building it was addressed to. Aaargh!

As Jack Dee once said, lets see how far you can deliver a letter for 28p.

If you want post at a certain time, you have to pay extra for that.

My postyman Roxs & so did my last postyman who was about for around 12 years, We have an understanding & they are as cool as **** down at the Hinckley depot.
One Dude even stayed there after closing to give me the time to pick my parcel up, When I got there it was all locked up & he was stood there with my parcel in his hand by his Own motor waiting to go home. Top Bloke, Top service & cheap an all.
Long Live Royal Mail.

Work Email said:
The postman has just informed me that there is going to be a post strike on the Tuesday 1st of September.

Therefore there will be no post delivered or being collected on this date.

Please can you bear this in mind when managing your customers expectations with drawings and purchase orders.

Post will resume as normal on Wednesday the 2nd of Sept 09

Hand write a letter to yourself with a nice friendly note for the postman inside.

they're a joke, whilst i don't really have a specific issue when i was off work last week the post wasn't coming till after 3pm!!!!! and i live in a bloody town, what the hell is all that about?

I used to know a postie or two & they used to go walk round the shops in town, buying dvd's & stuff whilst on the clock so they got paid more, such a joke.
