Ultra Overclockable D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) Version to allow the highest overclocks and lowest temperatures possible. Combined with the fantastic Coolit Systems Domino ALC watercooling system you can reach 975 performance at 920 pricing thanks to this brilliant bundle.

Nehalem is a radically new design for Intel: for the first time, the CPU is a 'native' quad-core CPU, where all four cores sit on the same piece of silicon. With its Core 2 CPUs, Intel used two dual-Core dies to create a quad-core chip, this translates into better performance. Nehalem features Level 3 cache, something first seen on earlier Xeon server chips, but Intel Core i7s will feature up to a massive 8MB (shared between all four cores). Each of Nehalem's four cores has 256KB of lower-latency Level 2 cache.

Domino A.L.C. offers the technological advantages of liquid cooling by efficiently transporting damaging heat away from the CPU as well as reducing overall chassis temperature levels. The system provides incredible thermal headroom, keeping pace with advances in processor technology and thus supporting the ability to maximize the performance of high performance PCs. Users have the option to switch between three operation modes with the simple push of a button satisfying the need for quiet or the desire for over clocking performance. Domino A.L.C. is the only cooling solution with an integrated display providing system status as well as audible alerts if attention is required. The advanced micro-controller auto-regulates performance to ensure continuous protection for maintaining CPU reliability. The compact Domino A.L.C. is factory sealed ready to be quickly and easily installed into the most crowded chassis. Mounting hardware for Intel 775/1366 and AMD AM2+ processors is included along with a specially engineered retention mechanism which ensures an optimum interface with the CPU and limits the weight on the motherboard to well below the maximum specified by CPU manufacturers. This system of carefully designed and selected components will provide over 50,000 hours or worry free operation backed by an unprecedented 2 year manufacturer warranty.

id say it ll be worse than any top end air coolers.

for that price you could get ifx 14 with 2 noctua fans which will be much more effective ;)

I dunno, i use a Domino on my 920 and it works great.
I don't have a clue about water cooling loops so this is perfect for me, i get the water cooling benefits without having to read up and play around with tubes etc :)

i know.....go on......say it...............LAZY! ha ha

Alright then LAZY!!!

I have read mixed reviews about that cooler and do not know of anyone whom has it either would be interested to get some temps!

Hi Guys,

a lot of my customers are using our Domino w/ this i7 920 w/ D0 stepping so I can speak with confidence when I say its a match made in heaven. Anyone, and I mean anyone can take that chip to 3.6Ghz on the Domino and most are going to 3.8 or 4Ghz or higher, depending on their chassis, other airflow etc etc.

Customer feedback from OCUK has been great:

Domino was designed to compete with the top end air coolers and it does just that. It just so happens that its easier to install then most of them, won't stress your mobo by having a big piece of copper hanging off it and shoots the heat right out the back of your case which helps the other components stay cool as well.

Not to mention, this is a wicked bundled price.

Food for thought.

Cheers,

It's a fairly decent bit of kit, looks okay in a windowed case. Very easy to fit and from what I can gather is great & quiet if you are just interested in a mild overclock on the i7. The requirement to take the side of the case off to switch modes is a bit silly - but you probably wont be switching modes anyway once it's set up. It blocks off one PCIe / PCI slot tho as the pump gubbins hangs below the fan.

I did pick one up from a local shop and had troubles with it, CoolIT support has been pretty good, the shop less so. Mine ignores the mode settings and just locks into fullspeed 3000 RPM fan regardless of temperatures and is extremely noisy. Temps are okay tho :D. At stock the CPU is 28-30C idle and around 55C after priming for a bit. (That was a warmish day too, 22ish ambient)

Really I hadn't noticed. I was merely asking if they were going to offer something similar with the H50..
