Howdy all,

Was just wondering which card you'd recommend between the following:

GTX275 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-015-SK

or HD4890 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-145-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1403

Not sure which is better as I've no idea on the build quality of sparkle cards. In the past I've always had issues with nVidia cards as they always seem to break on me whereas Ati don't tend to give me any problems.

Additional (possibly irrelevant info) is that I dual monitor and also play WoW (not all that much though). Only reason I mention WoW is that I've heard there may be some issues between WoW and current 4xxx cards.

Any opinions would be nice, don't really want to wait for the DX11 cards as I don't really want to spend more than £150 and I doubt there'll be any available for that amount, plus I can't see prices dropping enormously on current cards either!

I would personaly pick up the Powercolour card that is on offer this week, £120 for a 4890 is a steal.

The differances between the 275 and 4890 are so minimal that you really do just need to go for the cheapest, and in this case it is the 4890.

<3 4890
ye like fenris says just get the 4890, cheaper the better in this case

Are the stock coolers any good as I understand the 4890s get quite toasty? My case is hot enough as it is during hotter times (the room the computer is in has quite a high ambient which doesnt help matters!)

Mine is in an attic room (insulated walls) and the room does get very warm, I've never noticed my Asus getting particularly hot though even with the fan set at 30%.

If you find it getting too hot for your liking there are a multitude of 3rd party coolers around that will set you back around £20.
