Chelsea banned from signing players for 2 transfer windows

Lmao, what are they going to do if they can't sign anyone, any injuries to key players, and by next season their squad will be pretty weak. Does 'signing new players' mean extensions in that time? Guess not...would be awesome if it did!
Players already there don't need to be registered? So contract renewals allowed I reckons. Still hilarious though. :D If FIFA uphold this I wonder if Carlo Ancelotti will walk out of Stamford Bridge claiming breach of contract? :p

will this apply to football manager? :D
If this is still upheld by the time FM goes gold, i.e. goes to be manufactured then yes. SI will probably release a patch a few days or week or two after FM10's release so any changes by then can be updated there. Then there's the traditional February patch for January transfer window changes to make any changes to Chelsea's transfer embargo. :D

Real Madrid lure Cristiano Ronaldo, man u asked for a breach of contract fifa said no.
Source? Could be FIFA said no, if true, as its two massive clubs having an argument over a world class player. Chelsea/Lens could be seen by FIFA as a big club screwing over a little club hence they got involved?

I don't know why people are happy.

Do you realise that FIFA/UEFA are being racist against the english here?

First Arsenal's players ban for diving, yet it happens every game on the continent, where this form of excessive rolling on the floor originated.

And now this?

How many times have the Spanish and Italians tapped up youngsters!

My god this needs to be taken to the European Commision, you english are being bullied here.

lol :D Eduardo is not English and Arsenal are barely English. Surely they would have banned Young if they were really being racist?

Well I guess this'll appease Roman's attempts to balance the club books. Cunningly trying to avoid paying less than a million for a talented kid, now looking forward to no major outgoings next year. Kerching!

Trouble is, being ****s in the press and going "Oh yeah, we're totally massive admirers of Billy Randomer, we'd so give him the biggest house and the coolest car is he joined us" isn't actually illegal. Making someone breach their contract so you don't have to pay as much for them is.

They have a suspended sentence hanging over them from the Ashley Cole affair, so that might go some way to explain why the punishment is so harsh.

It's not the individual players FIFA/UEFA care about.

They just don't like see 4 english clubs in a European Cup Semi-Final/Final.

If its Italians/Spanish then its OK ;)

Anyway if the English FA don't realise there being taken for a ride then all fool the English. It's common knowledge Blatter/Platini cannot stand English success.

This will just make our success even more of a **** off to our haters, **** Platini & his monkey ***** mates, **** the FA an all, In fact **** everybody who isn't Chelsea. :D

STAND !!! STAND !!! STAND!!! :p:p:p

Chelsea will mount the strongest appeal possible following the decision of FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber over Gaël Kakuta.

The sanctions are without precedent to this level and totally disproportionate to the alleged offence and the financial penalty imposed.

We cannot comment further until we receive the full written rationale for this extraordinarily arbitrary decision.

As expected really and Roma had a similar penalty reduced to 1 window.

I think that's why the ban is so high in the first place, they fully expect an appeal and then it being reduced, why they couldn't just give Chelsea a tranfer penalty for one window is anybodies guess.

Wtf...completely out of the blue but as a Chelsea fan I'm not entirely surprised by the Chelsea board (ala Kenyon) placing us in the **** as usual. I do hope it gets reduced to 1 transfer window though as otherwise we will be in serious trouble.

You will not be in serious trouble, you just may not do as well as you used to do. No club is bigger than the law and so I think Chelsea should accept the punnishment.

I've got a feeling it won't be reduced. As I said above, they have a suspended sentance from the Colegate affair, 2nd offence and UEFA's hate for English clubs won't help them.

People moan when the governing bodies do nothing in certain situations and then they moan when they do

I can only see that the punishments handed out to Chelsea both for what happened during their game with Barca and this and Arsenal/Eduardo good for football, forget that it's without precedent the precedent has now been set tough luck if you feel like you're being signed out it happened with us with Rio all those years back and we had to just get on with it so stop your moaning Chelsea/Arsenal

It's about time Fifa/Uefa started sorting out the ugly side of the game

Be even more amusing if they lose the appeal and the transfer ban is made 3 periods :D
Wonder if the previous issues with Mikel and Frank Arnesen went against them or was it something else as yet unkown.
