It's in my shed.

Now I know we all love discussion on oil (particulary Fox), so what is this the right grade for?

The really annoying thing is it's almost full and the lid is missing. That's going to make getting rid of it a bit tricky.

Looks like gearbox oil for most manual box's not sure about auto's..

Well i only think because of the grade oil it is...

no it isn't. just put it in milk cartons and put them in the rubbish.

there must be a better way of disposing (motor) oil than just dumping it in the bin?

Be a good boy and take it down the skips and pour it into the oil disposal tank thing then.

Damn, I was hoping it was something cool like tank oil, or some sort of war time treacle substitute.

That thing must be atleast 20 litre (it's almost full), it'll take me months to drink that much milk.

You will get a hell of a fine if caught . . . .

2 litre pop bottles. Or find someone who can nab you a 25L plastic drum.

Find a way of covering the top while you drive to the skips, or start drinking manly amounts of milk!

put the tin into a plastic bag (without holes), and then tie up the bag, and then take it to the tip without spilling it

Take it to a nearby garage most of them use oil burners for heating, or you local council tip will have facilities.

Looks like a metal drum, when you say lid, does it look like it would be a screw-in bung approx 2" diameter? Or is it the entire top of the drum that's missing?

Just the 2 inch bung. At the moment I'm either going to borrow a sack truck and see if the garage down the road can get rid of it or I'm going to dye it yellow and tell someone from GD that it's mustard.

Or take it down the council refuse site, they will usually have a tank for old oil
