BF2 1.5 patch on 1 September

I really like the city and building site areas and the flags change hands so often.

IF the usmc can even get a beachhead. Been playing for a few hours and about 50% of the games were just duck shooting the boats as they landed.

Its annoying because the rest of the level is amazing, people will get frustrated soon and it will die out.

I've played it once on a 64 player server and we couldnt even get to their island, let alone get near a flag. The top 3-4 players on the defenders had 50-30 kills to 0 deaths and our team had a grand total of about 9 kills, no exaggeration.

We lost boats to anti-tank missiles, survivors were picked off while in the water and they even managed to acquire some of our boats to use against us.

The beachhead is so easy to defend and there isn't enough water space to go around it w/o being seen or shot.

Yeah same here, cant join squads. Could'nt before the patch though. Can join when invited into a squad, bet even then sometimes it doesnt work :(
 
Just installed this after 2years, i had to go in my loft to find the disk HAHA

I must say THIS GAME RULES. Never had a game with such a immense level of fun.

Still looks pretty decent too :D
 
Had a nightmare trying to get the patch to work. Had to install it over 1.41. For me ive played it since it came out and the tweaks ar just that tweaks. Core game play is the same, if you didn't like it before you will not like it now.
Best part of the patch has been the wide screen fix. At 1920 by 1200 with 4xaa, 16af, it runs very smooth at avg 115fps, with no dips under 100, highs of 250 (set my maxfps to 250). It has held its looks for a 4 year old game.
Played new map and its good but i fear it will become a claymore fest. blue peral is like iron gator on how to approach it imo. In all need to play air maps to look at other fixes
 
all runs really well, but even at 1920*1200 the radar fills half the bloomin screen and the txt is massive, anyway to change this ?
 
Well my patch worked Perfectly the first night with no probs at all but since then BF2 locked up my system after a while & I had to cold boot.
Of course I went on forums & slagged off BF2 & EA & gave up on the game I Love, NOT !!!
I traced it to my new drivers messing with my fans so I now use Rivatuner to over ride my GFX fan & have just played the last couple of hours without a single prob.
All is well in my World once more & Yes of course I still Pawn. :D

Still Loving My BF2. :cool:
 
I am having problems when i use the ingame AA e.g. when on blue pearl with x2 AA my fps drops from a steady 100 down to mid 20 to low teens, using a 8800GT with 190.62 drivers, anyone else have this problem?
