im looking for a dremel like drill.

don't really want to spend load's on a multi tool but after a drill that has variable speed and electric (not cordless)

i know a few people have got one simualr to a dremel from a shop called qd's(hope not a competitor)

haven't seen one in there for age's but if any one knows where they can get one then please let me know.

B&Q, just buy a smalled corded drill and pick up what ever drill bits you need, homebase as well.... any DIY store mate.

The bay of e is your friend here. Just search Dremel type tool and loads available for around the £20 mark. Can't say what quality is like on them but depends on what job you want it for. Not all have the varible speed you require though.

for the amount of time i will use it i cant warrant the extra on a dremel.

i have seen some on the bay but was after a variable speed but if i cant find one ill get from the bay.

I got a dremel, but NEVER use it, will sell it for £20 + PP if you want, pretty sure I got all connections and stuff with it, maybe a couple of broken blades, but a couple of quid for new ones can't hurt.

Recently got myself a Dremmel and tbh its awesome. Used to get the cheap copies but after going through a few of them I decided to go for the real thing. Best thing I have done. A local place called Trago Mills sells them for £30.00 so I would defoo say shop around and get a proper one.

I got a Dremel 400 digital (Yes, its damn good!)
Its far far superior to the Aldi one I used to have. You say you dont need it for long, but I can guarantee you will find a lot more uses once you have one.

And as been said, wear safety glasses. Especially when using the cutting wheels. They are prone to fragmenting due to the hardness / fragile nature of them.

I bought a cheap one from index back when they were still around, cost me something liek £12 and its still working, the rev button is broken (max's out all the time) but it still runs :D

Try the other large catalogue peepoles.

Depends really, in my experience, if you buy cheap you buy twice. Just get a dremel.

I agree - bought a cheaper one with more tools included from a well known catalogue shop and it failed along with its replacement - bought a dremel and have been fine for years.

also dont worry about the bits as these can be bought from anywhere and are dremel compatible.

im interested and we can keep this to mail.

See you got one but:

Just get a dremel the bits are far far superior and they are cheap just like the copies. Long gone are the days dremels are expensive.

buy a dremel dremel

buy a dremel dremel or if you buy some immitation good look on it being bad.
