Should I be worried? Sometimes, when I switch the power on at the back of the PSU, it makes a somewhat alarming POP sound. It's not very frequent, maybe once every few weeks.

I had a Corsair HX620 that did that (an early model) and OcUK took it back as it was under 1 year old. The new replacement never did it again.
I bought another HX620 second hand (an early model) and it also does this pop thing. I'm going to contact Corsair and see if it is an issue first before I send it back as postage to their RMA centre is astronomical.
I'm betting you have the same PSU, an early HX620.
EDIT: Also noticed that you're using exactly the same motherboard that I was using with both PSUs I had/have that did this. Not sure if that makes any difference.
It's just the switch contacts making under load. If you switch it on faster and more positively it should diminish/disappear. Ideally a better switch fitted.
My PC P&C Silencer PSU does the same thing occasionally when I switch it on. Don't think it's anything to worry about, as I've been using this unit for over two years now without issue.
Its probably just the current that the switch is switching! I was getting a flash at the wall until I changed the double socket front.
My advice would be to leave it switched on and switch the power off at the wall or unplug when not in use.
