I'm just wondering about Corsair ram and whether it is any good? Never used Corsair before and would like to know if it is good before i buy.

So what's the general consensus? Is Corsair and good make of ram, is it running smoothly, any problems?

Thanks!

Kingston get a lot of love on here.

That's an x58 motherboard. Not only does it need ddr3 ram rather than ddr2, it needs 1.5 to 1.65V rated triple channel ddr3. Cheapest though the higher speed versions are well worth considering if overclocking. I'm using these which are awesome but cost far more than the versions with less exciting heatsinks.

To answer your question though, corsair have a reputation for stability and reliability, and their warranty is second to none. I personally prefer OCZ, but not for any sensible reason.

Finally, this patriot or other triple channel sets by the same group seem to be the most popular for the x58 boards on here.

Ohh sorry, it kinda went in threw one ear and out the other!

I've seen 3x2GB, 1.65V, 1600MHz DDR3 Corsair ones on another site for £90. Looks good to me! That should work yes?

Thanks

yeh it should, its triple channel, the voltage is in spec and its DDR3. what timings is the kit? 9-9-9-24?
