Just wondering, does anyone actually buy Console Magazines anymore? Again, linking on from my consoles you’ve purchased and never used after finding a few older consoles in my garage, I also found an awful lot of older games magazines..

Does anyone actually fork out the, what are they now? A fiver for a magazine? I guess you can get a lot of the content online, however I still tend to buy a newspaper as its hardly convenient to take internet enabled device that’s readable into the loo with you..!! lol also I enjoy reading the newspaper on the sofa, its just one of those quiet moments..

In fact I was considering picking up a copy of PSM3 magazine on my way home from work this evening…..

Who still buys them? Yep, I’m that bored at work today… lol

Nah. No point anymore, I much prefer watching video reviews too.

They are quite often outdated too, when compared to the internet but that is to be expected...

I get Games TM every now and again just for the articles, I tend not to bother with the reviews as they're always out of date.

I used to subscribe to EGM ( US games mag) it was dirt cheap only £10 for a whole years worth inc postage to the UK. When it went under the replaced the EGM mag subscription with a US Maxim one, which is nice even if its a bit strange.

No point these days for me. I only used to flick through, look at the final scores and then play the demo disk, the internet does all of those just as well now.

Games (tm) and Edge are the only ones really worth it for adult gamers that don't want PR fluff.

Myself I subscribe to Games (tm) as their articles and insights are always interesting and reading it helps me find out about games I wouldn't have even known to look for online.

Had a subscription to CVG before they stopped making it then got moved to Gamesmaster's mag half way through my subscription period, it sucked, I cancelled and never bothered with any more since. I just prefer online reviews now from places like Gametrailers.

Edge looked pretty decent, but a lot of their review scores were a bit

used to buy PCZ, PCG, uhh Amiga Power :D and loads of other waay back in the good ole days e.g. ZZaaap! ;)

dont buy em now coz will never pay over £3.50 ish and they are usually around £5.99 including the dvd bonus disc for stuff you can normally dl for free anyway.

Would be nice if there was a program that would visit all the websites you pre-select and then download the new reviews and videos that appear into a presentable sorta magazine format on your desktop. So then at a click of a button if you wanted to see September video game reviews from the web you can do so :D (so its like a monthly thing which you can get this program to to fetch all the necessary data)

Ahh its a dream i have :D

I used to regulary buy PCZ and the odd Xbox 360 mag but don't bother these days as you can get the latest news & info from the internet.

Isn't that a glorified RSS reader? :)

Everything can be had on the net now. No point wasting money on old info in magazines.

The days when you had to get cheat codes from mags were awesome though. :)

I subscribe to Games tm and Edge, more for the articles than the reviews. A lot of the articles are pretty interesting and I like to occasionally step away from a PC screen for my reading. :)

I remember sending my high scores to a mag once, Saturn Power I think it was called although it only ran for about 10 - 12 issues. I held a Worldwide Soccer high score for most of the time :D Was nice to get your name printed in a mag each week!

I dont buy any anymore. I still have my old ones in the loft - games master, mean machines sega, sega power (from the first issues) dreamcast magazine, sega saturn magazine - I havent the motivation to do anything with them...
