Decent 1st car

Get something french if you like ugly boring cars :D
I'd say get a 6n2 polo mate, the 1 litre is painfully slow to drive but cheap insurance. Or possibly a mk4 golf if you can find a decent 1.4.

If you want the 2000 to include insurane, a 6n polo or an old civic.
 
Hey, german cars are good looking, but i've yet to see a french car and think "oh thats a nice car" they're just uncool to me.
Germans know how to do eurostyling. French cars just don't look as good.
A clio, boring onion car with an ugly arse.
A 306, looks like an angry northerner with a stanley knife, not a pretty sight.
A 106, looks like stanley knifers little ***** brother.
A saxo, just chavtastic.

A polo, take the rubstips off, decent stance with a nice set of alloys, maybe a little smoothing and such, gorgeous.
Same with the golf.

He's obviously not willing to spend a couple of grand on insurance so I have to recommend the boring engines.

Tbh, I think French and Italian cars look best but tend to have poor build quality - German cars have better build quality but can look plain and boring, although there are of course exceptions for both.
 
Yeah they do. German cars are boring but Jap cars are the best. Inside might not be as good as a german but engine and build quality is excellent. I'd say get a Yaris but people will take the mick out of you and me or get a Starlet.
