OC 4Ghz at very low temperature

What improvements to my original overclock did you do Bulldog. I'd like to see what you did.?

I think u have missed my last thread post here yesterday afternoon but it all deleted now (everything is explained there how do I made improvement) I can't be bother to explain it all over again. Sorry.

I will explain to you one more time, my last one of how do I improvement it.

1) Putting 2 x apache fans to the back rear case to replaced antec 1200 fans.

2) 2 x apache fans on the cpu cooler with a push-pull. (please note: this is not a Corsair H50 anymore. Using a Prolimatech Megahalems cpu cooler)

3) Rotate clockwise the cpu cooler facing the rear back fans.

4) Set the fan speed from low to medium of my exhaust big fan (200mm) on top of the case.

5) A new MX-3 thermal paste applied a very thin layer on the cpu chipset and the heatsink of the cpu cooler plate with a credit card. No dot in the centre.

6) Moved my graphic card from slot 1 to slot 3 away from the cpu cooler.

7) Lower in vcore voltage by 2 more lowers than 1.287v. (now at 1.275v at the bios and 1.184v at the cpuz)

8) Will going to installed 3 more apache fans at the front of my case to be replacement antec 1200 fans. These should be a lot of improvement on the airflow exspecially 7 x apache fans on the case.

Hope this help you mate.

EDIT: the full reading of my easytune6 as following: cpu temp: 43C, north bridge temp: 32C, system temp: 24C, gpu temp: 34C and 4 fans of 1400 rpm (apache fans) and room temp: 25C (during my overclock at full load)

Cheers, so just a lower vcore then on the settings I gave you. I see it solved your higher NB temps, so that's good. I'll try the lower vcore, I don't think my CPU will like it though.

Try lower vcore one step as a time until it stable. I use linx full max memory ram to run 20x before I use prime95. Cos, linx is much quicker to tell if it was stable or not.

Good luck mate. I think you should get it down at 1.275vcore at the bios instead of 1.287v because I do believe that us both had the same cherry chip.

timings tightened up

you should be able to get that ocz to 7-7-7-18 1T @ 1600MHz

Testing at the moment, so far after 10 minutes with 200 x 20 (4.00ghz) at 1.275vcore at the bios with linx full max memory run of 20x.

Done at 7-7-7-18 IT @ 1600MHz as I can seen the dram freq had a 800Mhz on it. :) Thanks rich.

no problem
i used to have that ram

its the same stuff as the OCZ blade you can push it lower if your chips imc is good enough

i got mine to 6-7-6-18 1t
that involved lots of qpi voltage though

Send me in private of what is the correct setting for qpi and ioh core if I want to push memory at 6-7-6-18 1t at 1.65v dram _ might try that myself. How did you know I had the same memory what u had as mine is OCZ blade.

ah right, i thought you had reaper [well you did last time i saw your rig]

the reaper is essentially the same as blade anyway [according to BIOSTARs memory tester in the bios

i say just experiment with the qpi voltage until you get stable

I don't think my memory won't get me stable at 6-7-6-18 1t as i had try 1.4v qpi voltage as it won't boot me up but unlucky except the 7-7-7-18 1t does work out for me
