Report of rioting in Birmingham City Centre

Interesting looking at the photos from last night's riot:

And yet our openly racist government, police and media think that group A is the problem?

the whole system is too scared to do anything about group B

Sooner or later they will have to, and when the army is called in to quieten the riots in all our cities streets who's side do you think they will be on after serving out in afgan/iraq ;)

If I continually go up to people insulting them, their mothers, and anything else I can think of, do I lack any responsibility for how people react to that provocation?

Would any ensuing violence have happened without my provocation?

Where's the evidence that this happened? Unless you think denouncing Islamic extremism is a provocation.

Denouncing muslims while claiming to be denouncing islamic extremism is certainly provocation.

Given that they are targeting mosques where there are no terror links, that would suggest either their intelligence network is crap, or they are trying to create a non-existent association and provoke a reaction...

Alternatively, you can head over to stormfront and read posts by their members of the tactics they employ, and judge them yourself.

There is nothing stopping you hating your own race or people - our own government and media does it after all.

Hahaha, but thats the whole point i don't, and never will hate someone based on their race, sexual orientation religion etc. I judge my dislike on peoples actions and i suggest that is probably the best idea for yourself also. There is idiotic white people there are idiotic muslims but to villify a whole race because of the comments and actions of a few is ludicrous.

EDIT: If people camped outside your house with banners and plackards showing their dislike for you even when you have nothing to do with what they are claiming to dislike, im pretty sure you would be annoyed about this? just a thought.

Looks to have hit the nail right on the head to me...

Hold on, those are the only places you can protest, when EDL tried to protest outside of westminster they were denied.
When a new area is being used for development, protestors would normally gather there, so what makes this different? why does this make it racist?
In the 70s CND would protest outside of air bases, greenpeace would protest next to ships, the muslim protest outside of parliament about govenrment policies towards the middle east ( you can say this was a racial protest), so were do you expect people to protest if they dont want another mosque being build?

(EDL)Plus when have you heard or seen an offensive placard with abusive racist words NEVER, when have you heard them say any racial remarks NEVER.
What they are saying is hold on we can live together but why the need to keep building mosques, this is britain not a middle eastern country.

I'm no fan of these fascist groups and it's clear they were there to provoke anger and violence, but surely by doing just that, you are just reinforcing their message?

The way I see it, there are scum on both sides, with the majority of decent, hardworking people in the middle, regardless of race or colour. These scum need to eradicated.

If there was no problem with the mosque why did they get so upset at a protest against Islamic extremism?

No thanks, I won't visit right-wing, racist websites like Stormfront. Firstly because their views disgust me but also you never know who is watching who is visiting sites like that...

It's threads like this that make me ashamed of white people.

Why because some are pointing out the facts that you dont like?
so everything can be blamed on white people?
dont you think building more mosques is provoking certain groups?
dont you think there has be a major loss in the british identity, dont you think the british have given up a lot and more to accomodate yet some groups still whan more?
At what point do you say hold on this is getting to much? how many other countries have an open policy like the uk?
Give me one country in the middle east that would allow you to build 1000 churches over 20 years.
I think this is the turning point british people are saying we have been kind but this is the limit.

And how dare you be ashamed of white people, people of this country have open their arms accepting non brits, have given 1000s of nonbrits the chance to make something of themselves.

Yeah see this is why. This attitude is no better than a homophobe who is 'provoked' by the presence of gay people or a xenophobe who is 'provoked' by the presence of other nationalities.

so why then you dont say the same for the EDL protest that the media say provoked the muslim riots on them, using you same argument could you say this "a muslim/fundamentalist who is 'provoked' by the presence of white people"

You havent said that, and thats my point, so you could say there is a rascist policy towards whites, because non other race can be racist? and your post above just reinforces my points.
When you think of racist you think of whites treating others, yet on no account can you see others treating whites badly.
