............... to play World of Warcrat.

£1400 and it only comes with an Nvidia 120 something.

Walked into that one eh?

'oooooh its white and shiny - it must be good. Yes please sir, ill pay through the nose, elbo, ankle, shoulders, feet and butt ring, for that fashion statement'.

I could have throttled him, even more so when he tried to convince me that NO PC on the market is as powerful (ready built) as a MAC for that money.

Forehead slapping momment of astronomically massive proportions.

I bet he didn't even buy it through the lower-Student discount (the one where you don't have to prove you are a student or be on campus) site did he?

Oh my god.

Who cares. I can afford a Mac so i bought one. ;)

I don't care if i could have bought a disposable PC for £500, it's still junk.

Mine plays WoW fine also. :)

I do agree that in the iMac you should at least get the top of the range GFX upgrade to the HD4850.

WoW will run on an Intel GMA x3100 all day long. Although I can't help but think he'll end up using his shiny Mac for some other stuff...

Incidentally OP, do you chastise nice car owners for using their car to drive to work too?

My late 2006 2.16Ghz MBP is fine at 1440x990, perfectly playable and an old Mac Mini with the Intel GPU will play it past 'hardly playable' frame rates - perhaps yours is faulty or something.

Guys we just have to accept that there are people out there who like their computer to match their kettle :) . Oh and when they come looking for help with how to upgrade it or mend it you get to say, "Sorry it's a Mac, don't know anything about them. Want to buy my second hand pc parts?" :D

Erm, i thought people might appreciate the fact that paying £1400 for a mac to play wow was over the top. I was not slagging a mac off. For £1400 i would want a good graphcs card. Not a poop one.

dirty fanboys the lot of you. Oh and a £500 pc wont be junk. be serious. It would be probs as powerful actually just without the fancy mac software, which at the end of the day, combined with the pretty image, is what you pay for on top of the basic pc component price.
