that video is pretty cool (largely down to the music) but i wasn't at all impressed by the demo.

One thing Ive noticed in the vid is the HUD looks to have been made less noticeable? Is there a mod to do this or is it just because its a low res vid?
 
Biggest problem for me with the sequel ? Firefights didnt light up the place like the first one, with all the sparks flying around etc. Still enjoyed the SP though (clearly some dumbing down for consoles, but had the same FEAR feel to it).

the HUD has been almost removed for the Reborn DLC, because we all complained about it.........especially me !

it looks bloody dreadful in FEAR 2, we're hoping that FEAR 3 will have the same gaming mechanics as FEAR...and the return of POINTMAN...... because FEAR 2 definitely isn't as good as FEAR...........SOD CONSOLE GAMERS, they can all go to hell :D

i'm also hoping that FEAR 3 will be more openworld, especially far more street fighting, because the sniper gun in FEAR 2 is awesome, we need much more of that
 
yes a lot of good games are getting screwed up for console... not enough sales in pc alone... i think DOOM 4 will get dumbed down too, plus Crysis 2

i'm an out and out shooter, i've never played any other type of game....to me, the simpler the controls the better, FEAR is perfect.... all of us on the FEAR forum, plus the developers think the same.........Fallout 3 is too complicated, it's a pain in the arse, mind you; it's an RPG so i can accept this.

Would anyone like to mention the phrase "Dumbed down for consoles" anymore? I'm not sure anyone reading got the message :p

I'm just playing through FEAR 2 at the moment and finding it quite enjoyable I must admit. Pain that I cant bind the grenade or melee keys to my two side mouse buttons but it's not exactly ruined the game for me. FEAR 1 was equally as good, perhaps a little better, hardly night and day though. I really don't envy being a game developer.
 
fear 2 is alright, should have had more horror in it, but the new DLC wasn't that good, about an hour of gameplay :(
 
I just played FEAR got it from the bay V cheap. i really enjoyed it although the GFX do look a little dated now though.

Might play 2 if i can get it cheap.
 
I've completed both the first and second. FEAR 2 is way to easy. I enjoyed it a little more than the first one. There is more change of scenery and the robot suit is awesome. The combat doesn't feel as silky as the first FEAR. The AI is also crap and i found myself not using the bullet time due to the AI being too easy.

Still a good game though IMO
