Just got back from a football match <Swansea v Bristol> anyway, while waiting for a bus thought I'd check my mobile only to find a voice mail and a txt msg from my sister with the words "Mums been rushed to hospital, phone me asap", because my phone was in my jacket pocket I didn't hear it ring or feel it vibrate so didn't get the msg for over an hour.

Lesson learnt :(

I phoned my sister back as soon as I got the msg, she says they think it's gallstones but they are still doing tests, can't get hold of my step father as he is in the hospital with her and mobiles are turned off.

Can't get to the hospital as it's about 10 miles away, can't drive had to much to drink, no buses this time of night so just waiting to hear now, gonna be a long night.

I never feel my phone vibrate in any pockets, and it's always on silent, so I tend to miss a lot of calls =/

hope all's well for you and the family though

If I'm in the machine room at work and my phone goes off, I usually spend the next 5 minutes trying to find which UPS is beeping.

If the phone is pressed against me in my pocket, I feel the vibrator, and jump out of my skin.

It's morriston hospital about ten miles away, you think she could have gone to singleton hospital that in walking distance tut!

I'm not that worried as she is in the best place, I'm sure if things where worse I would have heard by now, taxi is about £30 for ten miles here.
