Let's say that you get awoken during the night by some weird rustling sounds downstairs. So, you get up and go down to investigate only to be confronted by some burglar rooting through your belongings and who, upon seeing you, decides to just lunge at you. Do you..
A.) Try your best to subdue the **** by any means necessary and utilising whatever item is at hand as a crude weapon?
B.) Ask him just what the **** he's doing in your house and would he mind leaving, otherwise you're phoning the police?
C.) Ask him to stand where he is so you can first check to see if he he's holding any weapons that could harm you or your loved ones, and then ask him to leave?
D.) Sit back and make him a cup of tea whilst he pillages your possesions and then hope to God he doesn't decide to go upstairs and press a screwdriver against your child's neck and ask for the keycode to the safe and/or the location of your wife's expensive jewellery?
I know which one I'd choose each and everytime, and I don't keep any keyboards downstairs.

The thing is he stabbed the guy 12 times in the back.
You can't really argue he was much a threat after the first couple of stabs, so why did he continue?
Yes they are, the most recent legislation made all the el cheapo swords that were made by non authentic methods (i.e. the stamp cut swords you could get on the market). The swords on that website are made in an authentic way, forged, folded etc.

your hoping for a logical answer? take sheer panic for example, you could black out and not even know your stabbing the guy let alone stabbing him 12 times. Some people can stay calm and collective in those scenarios and others can't for better or for worse. same thing in a fight when your on top of someone that just beat your girlfriend up and is laughing at you while your knees are on their shoulders. your not gonna think "I shall hit the fellow once to mark my disrespect for him then be along with my day!". Common sense, logic, ethics... pretty much everything other than primal emotions go out the window.

He will be fine, it was in the USA, if he was in the UK he would be locked up for life....
because the attackers where still stamping on his sons head when he did that he was arrested at the scene (for obvious reasons) then released without charge iirc.
To be fair though he shot the guy in the back when he was no longer a threat.
Do stop talking nonsense! The government banned these cheap but deadly swords in direct response to multiple and increasing attacks being carried out with them up and down the U.K. Get your facts straight !

He even said in front of multiple witness's that the next time his burgled he is gonna shoot the b******s.
Then on the night of the murder he booby trapped his house and laid in wait fully clothed with a loaded (AND ILLEGALLY HELD) shotgun!
Society doesn't need nut case's like that roaming free imho!
Thief or no thief shooting a 12 year old kid in the back when they are running away is cowardly and completely unacceptable in civilized society!!
