** New Lian Li Cases ** IN STOCK

Build quality is important obviously. But looks are more important IMHO.

What the point in having a case that is built well, but looks like a big black shiny box:confused:

Any ways ace, where's my case :p

I prefer understated looks myself, clean lines and as little in the way of flashing lights, windows, fins, spoilers, scoops or go faster stripes as possible.

A big black box is nice, although not shiny. I think features and build quality are more important than looks, but looks are important none the less.

Wghat I like about Lian Li is, on the whole, they get a good balance of both.

Been waiting for one since they were announced,Got one coming to me in next day or so :D,carn't wait!

That's exactly why I went for my B25B over other cases on the market, most are full of scoops and plashy lights, even the P182 (and derivatives) has fallen for it.:(

The only issue with Lian Li is the lack of smaller cases, most are full towers. Come on Lian Li, even your "small" cases are huge (the B25B for example), make some small ones.

Actually I have another couple of small gripes as well, the price... and the aluminium construction, it's so light it causes problems with resonance, unlike heavier steel cases. However I think it's going to be a long time before I find something better than my case at the moment.:p

I think thats the Lian Li PC-A10.

Looks nice whatever it is, partly because it looks like the B25, except it has a stripe instead of a blue circle.:p That begs the question though, why is it so much more expensive?

EDIT: Having said that the B10 seems to have sorted all the gripes I have with the B25. Decent looking sturdy anti vibration HDD mounts instead of a cheap looking alu frame with some gromits, a top IO plate instead of a side one (cases normally go in slots, so I can't use usb sticks in the side USB socket, and even wires are difficult to put in), and perhaps a bit more padding/less obtrusive side panels.

Anyone know the dimensions of that HDD holder? As the case is almost identical in size to the B25 that holder may just slot in, it also looks like it could be easily modified to suspend the HDD's?

Until you've owned a Lian Li, you can't really comment, only possible upgrades from one is a MM or a Silverstone,
Silverstone doesn't have anything as balanced as these big Lian Lis: TJ07, great for watercooling, after that noisy hard HDD mounting and cooling primarily in wrong chamber and other annoyances of dual chambers. (same for dual chamber Lian Lis) TJ09/10, marketing department designed entirely too complex layout with "showing rear end" to acoustics lowish 6 HDD bays and four 5.25" bays. FT01, short ATX depth mid-tower. RV01, "revolutionary" cooling design is empty balloon of marketing hype. FT01 and RV02 again fall short in device bay amount.

the Coolermaster Cosmos is better 'built'...
Actual Cosmos (RC-1000) is mediocry designed in few areas for struggling to cool many HDDs (+just four usable 5.25" bays) and top airflow distractions (in an intake limited case) for turning airflow away from the hottest components. And side panel foam is in the way of installing mass damping base layer which absorbts lower freguency noise lot better than light foams.
I can see why my Cosmos S cost £140, it's quite obvious
And this one doesn't have anything left of cleaner noise containing design of real Cosmos.
Design is same as countless others acoustically lousy thousand and one holes everywhere generic cases... or old Stacker, it has just been blinged.

Time to go to store to buy some bitumen mat...

Unless part HDD is sitting on happens to be couple kilograms/more weighting solid metal slab then it's going to vibrate along with the drive radiating extra noise so putting drive in direct contact with light metal structure isn't any advantage but disadvantage.
After that mounting is same and that caddy/tray increases size of airflow obstacle inside cage so it's also worser for cooling.

Im a big fan of Lian Li's and would happily buy more in the future, but £187 for that B10 is a ridiculous amount!!? What makes it twice the price of the similar sized PC-7F which is also uses pretty much the same layout? Sure it looks a bit cleaner with the simple door, but the only other real difference I can see is toolless mounting and to be honest, I'd rather keep my £90 haha

i miss the days when i could say i would not get one over a CM which is probably why i am still using my CM 200 from about 7-8 years ago for my main PC, i really should get a new one though just for the benifits of updating cooling methods etc.

Firstly, my mistake I actually meant the Cosmos 1000, not the S, I always think it's the silver noise deadening one is the S for 'silence' :p ...makes sense to me anyway. So yea, I agree on that, the one with the holes in is a bit ...naff.

As for how well 'designed' the Cosmos is, well I did say 'built', highlighting that world, in a literal sense. The build quality of the case is excellent, I did not make any comments about how well designed it is with regards to cooling and airflow, I know it isn't very good, but that has nothing to do with what I said.

Think cars, not computers. That's what S is supposed to mean in there...

really tempted to change my current case to a lian li!

they look so well put together and solid!

I like the look of the new PC-7FN. Has a few improvements over the PC-7F like the PSU vents.

I wonder if OC will be getting these in?
