The Official Football Manager 2010 Thread

Been getting back into FM2009 in anticipation for this, and I managed to scrape QPR into the Premiership via the playoffs :). I just hope they can implement a tactics system that doesn't rely on slidey bars telling players how to play. They're making it more realistic (for a computer game) each year but this really holds it back I think.
 
Well they've often been a mid October release, last years was November I think. It really should be released around the beginning of the season. I'd understand if they had to delay it to fix bugs and stuff but last year's was terrible at launch, probably the worst since FM began in terms of bugs.
 
The new match view looks much better, they said they now employ a full-time animator and it seems to be helping a lot - dribbling, crossing and passing all seem to look much more realistic :D

That is exactly what they are doing :) One of the main new features this year is the tactics creator which uses "real football language".
 
I forget, it was either the blog or possibly one of Miles' comments in the blog thread on SI. But yeah, he said they contracted it out for FM09 but now they hire a guy full time.

When ordering from said (or not said:D) place were you billed immediately? I want to order it but money is a bit tight as I bought a new monitor, I would prefer not to lose any money yet because of this but I don't want to miss out on this cheap price though.

It will not charge you till its despatched and you can cancel up to 2 weeks till release ;)
 
Dont think any place will have it as cheap as this. Last year cheapest was £19.99 so this is damn good deal. Cant wait for the demo :D

Yeah, the high-street stores all closed, but the web-selling part of their business was bought by another company.

Quite a few newgens are given odd personalities, not sure if I've seen that particular one before. It's just a little joke by SI.
