Merc CLS on PH : Gotta be a scam

How exactly do these scams work?

They usually trick you into sending money via an online transfer service, they create a false shipping website and put you details in so when you search for the tracking number they give you it brings up a legit shipping delivery date, they send photos but their phone is always out of range of a mast.

the car is never in this country

its abroad somewhere and you have to pay money before you see it. Usually a deposit to secure its shipping into this country or whatever

they then promptly disappear with several thousand pounds of your money

Isn't that around about the going rate for one of those in acceptable nick?

They tend to depreciate like nothing on earth. Look at the price of the S Class a few years down the line, full spec models don't fetch much!

it's a CLS, not an S class.
and £16,000 is too cheap, let alone for a 57 plate diesel

and anyway, this is only £4k more :p
