Need some damage quotes.

Hey guys, last night I was picking my brother up from his Air Cadet club which i never usually do.
This idiot that i know decided it would be funny to jump up on my bonnet. I told him to get off several times politely at first but then lost my temper revved the engine and told him to get the **** off. He continued to get in the way of me leaving and then decided to kick the left panel of my car. He was lucky I didn't lose it. I went to the guy in charge of the club and told him what happened and showed him the damage any they said they will get the cadet to pay.

I have yet to go to the garage and would like some rough estimates on how much it will cost to fix the damage.

I have included a picture of the bonnet as when he got off he scratched it. I was wondering if it would be easy to get rid of or not.

I'm a pretty controlled person when it comes to violence with past experience of letting the rage out of the cage going a bit wrong and I doth my cap to you sir I would have filled him in for that.

As long as there are not scratches a paint free dent removal place may be able to pop that back out so you'd be talking £100ish... for panel beating and painting more like £200/250 at a guess.

Isn't your bonnet knackered too?

depends whether you want to take this as oppertunity to get it resprayed or not. Personally id want to avoid it as unless you get a very expensive proper job done. Unless you do, it wont be the same as before. Cheap resprays can end up making the car worse than it was before. And the group wont be wanting to pay for you to get a very expensive proper job done. Which puts you under pressure to choose some garage that his brothers mates cousin knows and leaves you in no position to complain when its not perfect.

Get a dent removal bloke to pop the dents out. £60 and get somebody with a machine polisher to polish the scratch out. Negotiate with them how much you'll pay, but i should imagine a detailer shouldnt charge much over £50 just to whizz their machine polisher over one scratch.

Thanks, i know its only small but wish it never happened as its so much bother.
 
Speak to the O/C (Officer Commanding) and I'm pretty sure they will get it sorted for you.

I say this because of a near identical incident at Longton ATC a few years back, I was with my ex's son who was a cadet, a Renault Laguna got damaged in a similar way and the O/C arranged to get the car repaired!

Worth a shot mate.
 
Dont waste your own time and effort trying to push out dents and polish out scratches - get it sorted properly by a professional and make the little **** pay for it.

I'm incredibly calm but I'd have probably lost it at that.

Fair play to you mate, maybe its me being young and stupid but if someone got on my bonnet and didn't get off at first ask I would just drive off with a lead foot, if they fall off my car and crack their head open maybe it'll teach them some respect.
I would have seriously lost my rag at someone kicking my car.
 
I wouldn't attempt to do it yourself as it could cause more damage. Possibly a panel beater or dent specialist could do it for a reasonable price.

These days garages tend to just swap over the panel as it's easier for them - £200-400 depending on make/model (can't tell from the pic).
 
Thanks for your support guys, the kid really is a little ****. It took every last bit of me not to lash out at him.

My brother has said he has done so many things that he should have got kicked out, yet he hasnt.
If i don't get the money I will be calling the police because to be honist i have had enough.

Edit: Its a Saxo VTR by the way. I know its not great but I pay for everything to do with it so this just really gets to me. :s

Ah so you had heard of him then. I thought it was just completely random (well it still is but you know what I mean). Hope you get it sorted quick, I wouldn't have been so calm I don't think :o
