The PS3 has been maxed out to its full potential (Video Interview)

there blatently saying just to sell and hype it. Bet when they do the third one they will say. We only used about 50% of the PS3 potential, now we use all of it.

And I should be bothered why exactly?

If that game is the pinnacle of this generation then so be it. It doesn't mean future game releases are going to max out the system potential.

I also wonder what Polyphony Digital will say when they release GT5. ;)

I wonder how many "Uncharted 2 broke my PS3 stories there will be around the internet during launch week".

Utilising it to 100% could be the result of inefficient coding ;)

This.

However, I think that the quote in the OP is a misquote. There's no way that a developer that's in Sony's pocket would say something potentially damaging as that. I give it two weeks before she retracts her statement ;)

Uncharted 2 looks a lot better than the GT5 footage released so far.

To be fair GT runs at pretty much double the resolution and double the framerate so the eye candy takes a hit. I get the 60fps, that's necessary, but i'd rather have pretty-pretty-niceness than a higher resolution, 720p does me just fine on my 32" HDTV.

The graphics in the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta are encouraging to say the least and if any other game is anything to go by the single player graphics will be even more impressive. I love the way the textures of the character changes according to the environment they're in (wet, snow, muddy etc)

I thought GT5 (like Prologue) can run at 1280x1080, nowhere near double the resolution but feel free to correct me if this is wrong.

Thing about GT5, well, Prologue is that the cars were detailed but the tracks were so-so, Uncharted just wows me a lot more than Prologue and the GT5 footage.
