Post your most emotional gaming moments, parts where the story line may have even made you shed a tear. ;)

Lets all take it as a given that there will be spoilers, so if we just post like this:

Call of Duty 4: Pretty much the whole game, the part on the bridge at the end, the helicopter part with the nuke when you're rescuing the pilot... The whole game was one after the other, masterpiece.

Then you know that everything after the game title will be a spoiler, so you know not to read if you don't want to find out.

Call of Duty: World at War: The part where Roebuck dies... I was absolutely mad (24 is one of my favourite things ever, so to have Jack Bauer as my sergeant was amazing). It was like one of those "NOOOOOOOOO" moments and at that moment, I just ran in shouting "COME ON THEN!!1" and knifed about fourty enemies before blowing the house. :p

Half Life 2: Episode 2: The part where Eli is stabbed. :( Tragic end to a game... But it left my very thirsty for more.

Let's hear about some of your emotional gaming experiences then. :)

COD4 emotional? Only to the point of wanting to throw your controller through the nearest window.

Oh God damnit, I'm playing through the HL episodes now... that was the last thing I'd expected in here :(

Aeris dying in FF7 for me... :(

Should have a spolier tag just in case.

Spoiler.

kotor - when you are given the decision to go good or evil by killing one of your party, truly an experience that left me heartbroken to do the deed to finish the evil end game.

Played Doom III on my PC with headphones, and when I was looking in a mirror my reflection changed from the character I was controlling to some type of monster (that in itself was creepy enough) and as I was walking out of a locker room, the damn monster from the reflection jumped out of a locker… I was in fact sorta day dreaming as I was walking out as I thought the area was clear of all stuff to shot at, erm no.!!

Being as I was using headphones and no ambient noise around me I totally filled my trousers and swore to never play such a scary game with headphones ever again. It was a truly creepy experience, and it gave me bad dreams for a few nights after that.

Recently Batman Arkham Asylum with the Scarecrow got me, more so when I thought the game had killed my PS3….

I don’t tend to get too emotional over video games, but they do sometimes creep me out.

COD 2 had a great moment when you're in a trench and tanks roll over your head. Made me really feel I was in WWII, awesome feeling.... Thankfully not real, otherwise that would've been a bit scary as well.:p

I remember that bit, I was good the first time but replayed that bit specifically just to see what would happen if I was evil. Couldn't bring myself to finish the game after that.

For me it has to be Mafia on the PC, specifically the ending where Tommy get visited. I was left feeling quite emotional after that, especially as I still think it has possibly the best story in any game I've ever played.

That time I got carried away and ran down the aisle 2 steps too far with the cake on Bishi Bashi Special's wedding cake/pie throw and fell over, to be beaten by my mates measly 32 metre throw.

:'(

I thought the final battle in MGS4 was pretty epic because it was so slow paced and had a great build up :)

The end of Final Fantasy X.

My heart was in my stomach.

Probably others as well, but I'm full of a cold so am incapable of thinking. :p

Can't agree with the COD games being emotional really. I felt little/no attachment to the characters and didn't really care when they snuffed it. :o

I agree with the Ep2 thoughts though

The Darkness: That moment.

Agree with that.

Gears of War 2: When you find her.... :(

And that.

Also Agree with whoever said MGS1. I never enjoy leaving characters behind if I have a choice, but I felt that getting both endings (and both special items) had to be done.

I'll add Max Payne 1 & 2 to the list in here as well, emotional roller coasters throughout. Especially the second one with it's first ending.

Got to throw in the Brothers in Arms series as well. Especially the third one. The ending and what happens to Red Hartsock, really had me worked up. :(
