The BBC is part of a "conspiracy" preventing the "radical changes" needed to UK democracy, the corporation's former director general has said.

Greg Dyke told a Lib Dem conference meeting he wanted a commission to look into the "whole political system".

But he said: "I fear it will never happen because I fear the political class will stop it."

seems like others up the ladder are starting to speak out, and maybe the bbc know labour are about to lose the next election hence the sudden change.

Greg Dyke is just looking for a way to shaft Labour after the Dr David Kelly incident and the way the BBC were slapped down while he was Chairman.

I dare say he is keen for their ruination.

Labour have been crippled ever since Brown led the revolt against Blair. Things have only gotten worse since then. I thought a Labour defeat at the next general election was a sure thing when BoJo became mayor. I don't think the Beeb could've missed the warning signs that Labour are on the way out.
