Hi guys,

I am looking for a Home CCTV kit, preferably colour.

Not sure which one is best, be it the wireless IP ones or the kit that hooks up to your TV via a recording box.

Is there anyone that could offer me a little advice please.

I would go for an IP one as you can view the stream from anywhere and also congifure email notifications of activity on the camera. Don't know much about actualy models though.

Edit: Plus if your tv gets nicked you dont have the footage :p

I have been looking at the Bikal candy bar cam, give it a google.
I don't have one but there is quite a lot of info on the net about it.

Not sure of your budget but it can be picked up for circa £110.

I got a cracker of a 4 camera kit with night vision (incredibly good too) - and PVR all combined from an online company but not sure if we are allowed to post links ?

Thanks doopy, I have sent you an email.

If anybody else has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

:D

Is thats the one on offer at £299 for the next week or so? With the small black external cameras? If so, I'm thinking of getting one, is it good?

Had a bit of a re-think, looks like I will probably go for a camera system with a DVR card. This way I can incorporate it into a PC and use the numerous spare HDD's I have.

Not sure if to buy a kit or buy the parts individually i.e camera's, DVR etc..

IP camera's are nice but way too expensive for what I need

I am still scouring the internet so any more advice would be great.
