Kid dies in Somerfield

It's always easier to blame others eh?

I do weekly shopping at my local big supermarket and the amount of parents allowing children to run havoc in such a hazardous place (e.g. shelved objects, fairly narrow gangway, high density of shoppers and trolleys) is beyond believe.

Discipline your kids numbskulls.
Poor kid had to die thanks to their negligence, IF this lawsuit actually yields in favour of the parents, I can bet a lot of supermarkets will adopt something drastic like 'no children' or something. If that is.

You've all seen it before. A kid squirming about in the trolley seat, obviously not wanting to be there. Parent off down the isle looking for something. You think to yourself "wow that kids gonna fall unless it sits back down" then carry on with your shooing. This time it did.

Freak accident.

EDIT!: storeys been updated, seems he was swinging around on a railing?

It was an accident neither parent's or shop's fault.

Loads of you don't have 4 year old boys if you think you can stop them having a swing on some railings.

Come on I don't believe that none of you have had a swing on some railings as a boy.

Parents weren't at all negligent it was an accident.

God help the parents but there are safety railings everywhere they are there to protect humans from cars I can fully understand them wanting to shift the blame and their lives will be full of "what ifs" :(

*yawn*

Wake me up when they actually succeed :p

One of the great things about the legal system is that anyone can sue anyone and get in the papers - it's whether you win or not which is the important bit :p

Thats a joke.. They should have been in control of their kids! If I'd have messed around in a store when I was younger I'd have had a slap and been told to pack it in.. Wouldn't have done it again!

Had a taxi driver the other night telling me about how he'd bumped a parked and empty car while dropping some people off at about 2am. He'd got out and posted his details through the owners house door and taken the details of his passengers as witnesses. A few days later the insurance company got hold of him and told him the driver and passenger of the other car were claiming for whiplash! Some people will try for anything.. :(

i imagine throwing themselves into the distraction of a court case is the way the parents are coping with their grief.
