When I was at school they were just starting to roll out a few BBC Acorn machines. Got to uni and was stuck with green screen terminals (no mouse or graphics apart from ASCII art) .
Was a bit of a shock when in the second year my university got kitted out with Silicon Graphics Iris Indigo workstations! We got t'internet that year too so was mindbending stuff
we had 1 bbc computer that did nothing over than act as a corner filler.
I remember the first TRUE pc we had at school a old 486
I agree with mrbios thats screaming for a mod.
Remove the plastic front and replace with an aluminum front and plexi window showing a backlit custom resevoir.
Cut the side panels and put in plexi windows + fans, and paint inside and out!
