Just bought a 5870, but no power connectors?

So my PowerColor 5870 finally arrived this morning just before work. Psyched myself up all day to play with it this evening, and found I can't power it up! My HD4850 came with a 2x 4-pin molex to 6-pin converter, so I have one, but my HD5870 didn't come with any... and it needs two! Anyone else find themselves in a similar predicament? Why does the 5870 ship with everything it needs?!?:mad:

With a performance GPU like the 5870 they assume you have a decent PSU with 2x6pin PCI-E as standard.

With the molex converter you may even run into instability issues etc, your far better off upgrading to a modern PSU.

Ah okay. Can anyone recommend a good 'un? Looking at the Antec EarthWatts 750W Modular PSU at the moment. Doesn't need to be modular but I'd prefer it.

System:
Q6600,
PowerColor HD5870,
4GB DDR3,
DVD-drive,
4 x 1TB Samsung F1,
4 large case fans.

I would recommended the below PSU, its modular and from a decent brand and comes with a three year warranty and is not very expensive, if it breaks they will replace it no questions asked.

That link seems to just show the Overclockers front page?

<edit>Nevermind! Works now!</edit>

<edit''>Just bought the suggested PSU! Will have it Thursday! I'm really annoyed I didn't try my 5870 this morning, as I could've ordered earlier and had the PSU tomorrow... oh well!</edit>

Can't go wrong with OCZ and their warranty, good choice.

Lol, no choice involved. Got what sounded like good advice from someone that sounded like they knew what they were talking about so did what I thought sounded best :p Thanks for the help Raven!

Lol, competitor-value one. Cost about £25 I think.

£25 , you want to get it replaced with a decent one, or it will go BOOM and take your whole system with it.

XFX version came with 2x power cables too. Surprising the Powercolor ones don't

Normally the case with Powercolor (unless they've changed now as i havn't had them for years), not big on extra's, mainly just the card and a driver CD.
