As title. Mainly due to nostalgic conversations between myself and the other half. Talking about old toys, lego, mechano(?) etc etc.

Having not owned a single toy or model for quite a long time I'm relatively unaware of what's on the market these days. I saw the lego thread but everything seems aimed towards building something specific, a racing car for example. The lego seems to have themes too?

Train sets, lego, models, what's out there that could provide relatively inexpensive fun with a certain degree of ingenuity required for an overly mature 20 year old?

Any ideas? :)

Remote control planes...I remember making them out of plywood with my dad (OK, he made them, I watched and crashed them) when I was a kid.

I'd try to get a lego mindstorms kit and a load of late 80's/early 90's technic second hand (probably won't be cheap). Get creative and you could build all sorts with this! :D:cool:
