Things wrong in UK - whoever stands up - I will follow.

BNP would sort it, and fund it by getting out of EU, and Iraq saving us Millions of quid a day to spend on education system/policing/medical.

Should read their policies, makes sence.

AND NO I`M NOT RACIST. But I am for this country above all others.

1. Knife crime : this is becoming like a bad nightmare. Arrest and prison.Prisons are already over crowded, funding is becoming an ever increasing problem.
2. No early parole : you do your time. As above
3. Transport : what is wrong with these? Disband unions - fine trains that are delayed. Unions are there to look after the workers, and to stop them being exploited or unfairly treated, these are crucial in large businesses
4. Child care : Why penalize us and pay it to the poor? We aren't rich either. Grey area, people would have to leave jobs to look after their children, leading to unemloyment increases and additional benefit offer.
5. Finance : stop borrowing or uk will go bankrupt. Cuts have to happen. There is so much to understand on an economic scale as to why lending occurs, regardless of what information tabloids claim.
6. Youth asbos : they got trackers so track them. Moment they breach, they go to jail.Overcrowding/funding again
7. Benefits cut for long term unemployed if they fail to look for jobs.Agree 100%
8. police to spend more time catching burglers, rapers, thieves rather than fine motorists. Motorists that break the law are criminals, this additional revenue will filter through to allow more police to be employed and better training offered to deal with the other offences you have listed
9. Stop blaming people for mistakes. banks messed up, but how many bankers in a bank actually get big bonuses? This is nothing different from filmstars, singers, company directors, oil&gas companies.
10. stop political correctness. Abolish laws to protect children. Make that law forefeit the moment the children commit serious crime. Agreed (if you mean in a sense of those children that commit crimes), children know right from wrong from an early age imo, the parents/guardians should also be punished.
11. If thieves are in your house, you are legally allowed to apprehend them in any way possible. Agreed 100%, anyone that breaks a law in this manner waves any human rights they have.
12. Nationalize public services. Thats what its for, not to make money out of us who already pay lots and lots tax.
etc etc

Now firstly i'd like to stress that some of the comments seem like I am disagreeing with as much offering a more unbaised view to the issues you raise, I just wish to point out that things aren't as simple as the mainstream media channels like to make them out to be and your post does sound like it could come from The Sun or Daily Mail so take a more open minded approach to things when you hear/read them.

Are you mad?

On Radio 1 the other day Nick Griffin was asked if a black person could join the BNP and he said no, he was then asked how he would feel if his daughter were to bring home a black or asian boyfriend and he said he would not like it.

That isn't racist to you? Put down that copy of the Daily Mail and open your eyes.

You can't spell, you can't use appropriate capitals, you can't find the apostrophe on a keyboard. You sound like just the sort of chap I want in the country with me.

It's all retarded, really. They claim it's to do with who is and isn't indigenous to the UK. I'm not, but you'd never know it to look at me. The ones who obviously aren't indigenous are the *******, the chinks and the pakis, so we'll kick them right out, but it's because they're not indigenous. HONEST.

Stranger Danger is not as bad as you may think. The vast majority of violent and sexual crime is committed by a person known to the victim. Sleep safe at night unless your wife is a bi-polar nutter with a love of knives.

Culture

Something that has always bothered me about where I live is our lack of cultural identity. What there is of it - we don't bother to defend.

We need more patriots and less politically correct politicians.

The Irish do this better and we could learn a lot. Im not sure how to create change - or even if it is possible now that we have become so 'multi-cultural'.

In my opinion we should never have coined that term.

I'm curious - what culture should we be preserving? Maypoles and morris dancing?

I've been living in UK for the past 10months...

In my perspective and up until now I can see some major problems from personal experience:
- benefits, support and other forms of parasitism. I work for the NHS and I would say that 60% of the people I see everyday are on "support"...something is wrong here and in most of the European democracies (including my homw country)
- penal system...it took me 6 months to get a deposit back from my previous landlord (I always had this image of a swift and "clean" justice in UK, it was a bit of a disappointment)
- alcohol as an excuse for aggressiveness...I don't feel comfortable getting out at a Friday night. Every weekend is the same thing, people getting fired up, shouting, brawls and so on...because of that I don't go out much. The environment it's too "tense".

Billy Connelly had the right idea.

Take all the people in prison, feed them to the hungry. 2 problems solved.

Then, take all the homeless people, put them in prison. 3 problems solved.

I haven't read the entire thread but...

IMO we should have a 3 strikes system where repeat offenders of anti-social behavior, fraud, etc. should be conscripted, not into a regular army unit tho, and do a min of 2 years or more depending on the crime.... in which hopefully they will be taught some discipline and self respect.

I'm not a fan of cutting benefits as theres always someone who is genuinely in need and already in a depressing, downward spiral of a situation whos going to end up in an even worse situation.

However I do strongly feel the job center, etc. should and could be doing a lot more to help people back into work and follow up on people who aren't following up on the help the job center provides... from my fortunatly brief experience with the job center theres too much bureaucracy, back handers and meddling with the system for it to really help anyone or reduce the number of people just playing the system... loads of people parcelled off on silly courses that just got in the way of them actually finding work with the courses actually used to either fiddle the numbers/statistics or make someone some money.

Sorry, but as a foreigner you don't get to say what is wrong with the uk. In fact, you are what is wrong with the uk.

Lmao funny but true :)

It's really not, in fact I'd give you good odds that vonhelmet was being sarcastic.

As to the original topic - if you're dissatisfied with the political options then why not stand yourself if you think you can do a better job? There isn't anything special about politicians to mean that it wouldn't be possible for anyone to have a chance of getting elected.
