The Tesco warranty was always highly recommended, especially the Finest option.
I know many Porsche owners took it on and you seemed to get a lot for your money.
Well it looks like you got a little bit too much for your money:

Closed to new business, existing policy holders uneffected.
Was going to take this out in January when the warranty runs out on my Octy vRS.

Well that's arse.

I wonder if there's anything similar offered by anyone else.

Value – Section A
(for cars up to 10 years old/ 100,000 miles, £1,500 claim limit per claim¹, £50 excess)

Standard – Section B

(for cars up to 8 years old/ 80,000 miles, £3,000 claim limit per claim¹, no excess)

Finest – Section C

(for cars up to 6 years old/ 60,000 miles, unlimited claim limit¹, no excess)
¹the total value of claims made in a year can be up to the market value of your vehicle.

So does that mean that I can continue to renew every year as I'm an existing customer?

Doubt it. They should discharge their obligations and fulfil the current contract but I don't see why they would have to offer renewal on a loss-making product they no longer sell.

I wonder if they'll offer an alternative to existing customers? Maybe at a higher rate or with more exclusions?

I'd better break some stuff on my car then, get my money worth

Actually, mine will run out in about 9 months time, but my MOT runs out in 11 months time. There's no reason why I can't get my car MOT'd early is there and take advantage of the MOT clause in my policy?
