Tesco warranty - No more

Nope, you can put your car in for it's MOt at any point.

If any one asks... You wish to sell the car and as a selling point, you want to sell with a full MOT.

However, no one will ask. It's worth chucking your garage the car earleir and throw a few quid their way to find a few faults.

That's a good point. I could just say I was selling the car and wanted to sell it with a full MOT instead of 3 months worth.

I'm almost certain that Porsche will want to replace my brake discs next time round so I want to get my moneys worth out of my policy

Was wear and tear covered on friction parts as well then?

Sure.

The earliest you can MOT is a month before if you wish to retain your current MOT expiry/valid date. You can get an MOT done at any time though.

If you mot a month before you dont retain your current mot date though you get a month extra?

If your MOT runs out on the 30th of the July 2009 for example.

You can put it in on the 1st of July 2009 and if it passes you will have an MOT until 30th of July 2010 (ie you have retained the current MOT date).

It means you can put your car in for MOT, and if it fails on some minor things, keep using it for a while if the garage is busy/repair it yourself and take it back without leaving you stuck with no car as it has an expired MOT.

Makes sense when you actually think about the wording, only reason I Said it is I was talking about MOTing my bike early so it had 12 months on it and a friend said you could only do it a month before, a quick glance at the MOT wording makes it seem like that but when you think about it your right it only means if you want to keep the same date, learnt something new there! :)

Wow...

Was this through a fault (warping etc) or just because they were worn out?

corrosion

oh and on hearing this news I would like to point out that there is no truth in the fact that my local garage is going to inspect my car with a fine tooth comb prior to the warranty expiring :p
