Straightforward question regarding this website -

Link

This company, I've been led to believe, was liquidated in June but the website is still running, so there will no doubt be people who have sent in their data and will have to go through the hassle of trying to get it back when it isn't delivered (yes I'm one of those people too).

This is obviously annoying to think that the people involved with this company don't care about this situation. So, what is the best way of shutting this website down or is it indeed possible?

contact their host?

Are you sure the company has been wound up, or is it being run as a going concern?

Phone number doesn't work, emails not answered and my data item to them was not delivered. Plus a colleague found out they'd gone bust too, although not sure how.

Well you could try a con. Email them from an email account spoofing a major company (well not that major or they'll catch on) pretending to want a major contract with them or at least wanting them to tender for it. See if you get a response? 9/10 you'll get "Thank you for your enquirey: etc..." then you know for sure.

Host is either webfusion.co.uk, based in the UK, or hosteurope.com, based in Germany. Either way it's the same company so let's assume it's the UK version.

However, any host worth a damn will ignore requests from joe public. What right does some random off the street have to close down a company website?

If you have means to discover they've gone bust, then perhaps you have means to find out who the administrator is, so contact them. If not, try Trading Standards.

PS - The domain was registered in May (this year). If your information is true, then that's a very quick failure.
