Peak District worth a visit?

Anyone been to the peak district to take photos? Every year i keep meaning to get some shots of the Autumn leaves and this year I'm going to make sure i get out and get some shots.

Or the Lake District appears to also be around 1.5 hours from me.

You're in the Dales so you've already got some of the best scenery in the country; why go anywhere else?

Peak District is nice but I wouldn't pass the Lake District for it.

Hmm, very true. I just assumed there would be much more to see at the lakes/peak district. I.e lakes

Any good spots you could recommend near Rossendale then?

Wharfdale, Malham Cove? I'm hardly an expert as I've just been there a couple of times on photographic courses but thought it was better than the Lake District. Mind you, looking at the map, you're just as close to the Peak District national park as the Dales n.p. so the choice is yours.
