hi all, in the middle of a new build, tower is a new nzxt guardian 921, front has 3 5.25" bays, one is been occupied by a dvd/lightscribe, the other 2 are redundant.

kama bay: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SY-000-SY

anyway, although im sure the kama bay requires 3 bays, behind the front 2 is space to fit a 120mm fan in no problem. what i need to know is does the kama bay need to be pushed all the way in, or will it gladly sit in there even if it sticks out the back a bit?

just looking for some extra air intake over the ram etc + use the space up, dont need any other optical drives or fan controllers either, so makes sense.

Cheers

Needs 3 bays if you're using it as a front intake matey. Other way is mounting it laying down with hard drives in it taking up 2 internal bays. Remove CD Drive and Put it inside your case? :p I use my CD drive few times a year... normally just leave Arma 2 in it.

Buy a replacement fan with it, I stuck a spare 120mm noctua in mine and it works great.

i have plenty of spare fans, there is room in the case for it standing up as it should, the only difference being theres only 2 spare 5.25" slots not 3.

might just order one anyway and cram it in somehow :D

does the stock fan come off easy enough, just looks like the screws on the side need removing.

Yep, stock fan is removed by taking out 4 screws. 2 minute job
