Cleaning the moniter screen

Personally I just use window cleaner (only a small spray so it doesn't run down to the bottom!) and use a couple of kitchen paper towels to wipe over and dry.
 
Only thing to really remember is to make sure the LCD isn't hot before you wash it, make sure its cooled down nicely

Or alternatively you can use white vinegar and warm water to the same effect as window cleaner
 
i do pretty much the same, glass/window cleaner but spray it onto the kitchen cloth first then wipe, but then after i got decent glasses cloth and wipe off the fibres from kitchen towl.
 
I use Philips Screen Cleaner (SVC2540) which is for plasma & LCD screens and its excellent compared to just a slightly damp lint free cloth as it's better at getting marks off and also leaves no smears.
 
The manual for my monitor says to just use water on lint free cloth I assume. No excess water mind you just a moist cloth suppose.
 
On a daily basis I clean the screen with an anti-static brush. This keeps the dust down. I do the edges first, then go over the rest of the screen in vertical motions twice.

Then once a week or if it get dirty for some reason during the week, :

I start with an anti-static brush to get rid of most of the dust

Then a very soft microfibre cloth (like the one you get from specsavers or with your lcd tv), moistened slightly with warm water. Thinking about trying the monster cleaning gel though as that might cut out the next step.

A 2nd microfibre cloth to remove the streaks and generally buff the screen. Followed by a quick going over with a halogen lamp to ensure it's perfect. A lot of screens that are very reflective can still hold smudges/streaks but you only see them in very bright light.

A final going over with the antistatic brush. And done for another week.

I also keep mine covered in the anti static wrap it came in, if not in use.
 
I bought Klear screen a while ago. Big bottle with 2 types of microfibre cloths and 5 wipes.
Use it on Monitor, LCD TV and me Kuro, does a good job and yeah as stated best done whilst the monny/tv is cool.
