Hey all, i have looked on the forum and cant see anywhere better to post this so here goes. Basically looking to buy a pre-made gamer pc from overclockers on a moderate budget. Was just wondering what would be the best time to do so. Will their be any deals on for christmas? January sales perhaps? Thanks a lot in advance for replies.

This, with windows vista premium 64 + W7 upgrade and a HD4870 takes you to £599, very nice, will be a huge upgarde over your current system and last a good while as well.

Have you considered building your own?

I have considered it but feel a bit daunted by a complete build. I know its not the most difficult thing in the world just feel a little edgy when some of the components are a lot of money i dont want to mess it up ^^

haha the dark days lol :P to give my pc credit tho it still stands up with the likes of cod4 etc despite its bleak specs ^^

Another thing i would like though is the ability to upgrade the cpu to a quad core eventually, would the mobo on that machine allow it ? Im not to savy with AMD depite owning one :P

Another thing i failed to mention i have a new HD "22 monitor which can go as high as 2048 by 1536. Im guessing this is enough ?

Thats cool then, obivously im in desperate need of an upgrade lol :P Any recomendations you would have ? I have allways liked AMD but atm from a lot of people i have heard intell is the way to go. Is this correct or am i dealing with fanboys :P

Intel is the way to go at the high end, but it is pretty even between the two at budget and mainstream price points. So go with whatever saves you the most money/gives you the best features.
