I had a busy weekend so had a few "Oh bugger, I need a photo" shots.

One of those shots I quite like, Day 10:



The other was this snapshot of Helen, she was bound to make an appearance sooner or later :p

I missed the focus slightly on this, but meh, I needed a Day 12 :D

 
I don't think you missed focus, as the pupils are in focus (see the light reflection?), but it is just too thin that's why it looks out of focus.

They are both technically excellent, more DOF on the second is my only niggle.

BTW, is she about the burst out laughing or is she holding in a fart? :p
 
I think she was just bored of me taking photos as we were just about to go out :)

I went out first time in ages on saturday night, I only took my compact. Just as well, I almost drop that about 5 times, only to catch it by the strap !

My best shot of the moon yet, still rubbish compared to others in here but this seems to be the best i can get out of my 55-200mm lens.

Hoping to replace it soon with the 18-200mm.
 
Nice! speaking of lenses, a colleague at work is giving me 1 or more lenses on Friday, will see what he has and damn well looking forward to it :p
 
He's not sure what he has otherwise I would have said.

All I need is a cheap 200mm~ lens to take out to festivals and day events as I made do with the 1Ds and 75-300 the other week getting excellent images, not the best lens for a 1D but still good enough to get what I needed at a satisfactory level - nowhere near as crisp as my 40D + 17-55 though...
 
Some pussy, all ISO 1600, which is ok on the 5D Classic, definitely usable and miles ahead of my old 400D!





Damn me for cutting his ears off :(
