Slevs or Slevers

Does anyone know what is meant by 'slevs' or 'slevers'? It's also possible to have 'a slev' I can find only a couple of references via google to this excellent word that occurred to me earlier.

Just mean 'drool', but can be like "that dog, just slevved on me' or 'dude you've got a slev on your arm' or 'wipe those slevers off your chin' 'Alec's aye slevverin' when he sees her' etc.

I think it's actually a scots word
