Any one know the best place to pick up a cheap wheelie bin? there are loads online but it is hard to see what sort of quality they are and i do not want the bottom to fall out after a week.On the other hand i don't want to pay an arm and a leg!

will the council still pick them up even if they are your bins?

No chance, ours won't.

They will only take the Black or Green bin, nothing else by the side of it (bags etc) I think they sometimes refuse taking it if the lid isn't closed properly

The bin is for my bro in london so using the local council is out. Also they are useless as has already been pointed out!:)
I will take a look in B and Q then i guess.

apparently they will not give him one and so he now has a small rat problem out the back:rolleyes:
So does he leave his bags on the street for collection?

If he just wants storage until collection day tell him to look round the local pound/hardware shops they normally have metal dustbins on sale. Failing that B&Q do them for something like £25.

I think leeds council is the worst for bins atm, my street smells, bins haven't been emptied for over a month.

We get charged £50 for a new bin.

I tend to go ballistic if it's still sitting out on the street when I get home from work on a Thursday evening. Needs to be brought in as soon as it's been emptied before some **** nicks it yet again.

Speaking of which...is it black bin or blue bin day tomoro...?
