Copper tube by the metre

Hi All,

I'm after about 1ft of 8 or 10mm copper tube, but places like Wickes et al only seem to sell it in 10 metre lengths!

Does anyone have any idea where I can get small quantities?

A local plumber or heating engineer with a few offcuts?

Any house being modernized might be throwing away or scrapping old copper pipes.
 
Find a local Plumber in the yellow pages and give them a shout.

or... try and find a 'Plumb Center' < Which is a chain of 'Builders Center' they should sort you out with some.

You can buy it in much shorter lengths at Wickes/B&Q, Focus, any plumb merchants. Oh and Screwfix.
 
Your better off buying a 3m length and then you have some spare as you will pay probably about half the cost of a 3m length for just 1m.
