Fighting - What is the best Guard?

Well, yes. A fireguard would definitely work.

Personally I've never worried much about defence as it comes Natural to an Alpha male such as myself. Bit of duck & weave then straight in for the blood shots, Once they are bleeding or an eye is hanging out they pretty much give up & then you can have your fun. Anybody proper lairy I just wait till they aren't looking & jump on the side of them wrapping my legs around them like a Boa constrictor whilst I knaw there ear off, Last resort really as this gets Proper messy as ears just won't stop bleeding & it gets everywhere. :D
Mind you the claret all down my England shirt shows up really well & it never fails to pull a drunk doris for some jitty style pasty smashing on the way home.

There are many types of 'Guard' for different martial arts, but which is the best all round? I'm a fan of the traditional boxing guard, or the Thai boxing guard.

Just get naked and try to hug / wrestle with them ;)

Might help to sing anything by Elton John as you do so.
